Frequently Asked Questions
What are the workshops about?
The workshops are about getting children involved in performing whatever their experience or ability. The children will have a fun experience learning songs and dances from their chosen pantomime and then performing in the show itself on stage with the famous TV stars. Its also a chance for children to spend time with others who love singing, dancing and acting.
Who is starring in the show?
Our Christmas pantomime Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at the Shaw Theatre stars Darragh Mortell from CBBC's Tracy Beaker, Dani's House and Diddy TV, Britain's Got Talent Semi-Finalist Andrew Fleming and Chris Stanton 'Mr Flatley from CBBC's M.I. High'.
Can my child take part?
Yes as long as they are between 6-16 years of age then they can take part. No experience is necessary and all abilities are welcome. Enchanted Entertainment is a professional theatre company, with a professional creative team of singing, dancing and acting coaches. It is a very exciting project and we are sure your child will love being involved.
Have your staff been CRB checked?
All of our staff working with your children are fully CRB checked and most also have a full Chaperone Licence. This is something we take very seriously, your child's welfare is the most important thing to us. Legally local councils demand that we abide by their guidelines for professional theatre production companies (these are actually stricter than those required for schools and playgroups).
Can children attend the same workshop as their friends and family?
Yes. There are a limited number of places available in each group for whoever is interested. Please make sure you book in together online as places will go very quickly and once a group is full, we cannot add extra children to it.
What should children bring / wear for the workshop?
There will be breaks for refreshments so all children must bring enough food and drink for themselves to cover the time they are on the workshop. With regard to dress code, children should wear loose clothing suitable for dance/movement, and comfortable footwear (trainers or jazz shoes) no heelys or crocs please.
Can I stay with my child during the workshop?
Unfortunately we are unable to have parents / carers in the actual workshop areas. Children will be signed in and out at the main reception of each workshop venue. We would also recommend arriving at least 15 minutes before the workshop is due to begin, so that children are registered, settled in and ready to start on time.
Where are the workshops being held?
There are various locations for the actual workshops, once you have chosen the nearest one to you (on the homepage) simply click on that venue and choose the best dates and times to suit you.
How do I contact the production company?
All the information you need about the workshops should be contained on this website. If you still have a question after looking at the website then email is best. Please visit our Contact page for details. Please only call the office if it is an emergency (strictly between 09.00-18.00 Mon-Fri).
